What a difference a week makes.

You should be impressed with the tremendous amount of work accomplished on the building this week.  We have a roof on the Grand Foyer, the walls downstairs are painted, new toilets, drinking fountains and the elevator have been installed, the choir loft wooden floor has been laid, and the sound system and altar will be worked on next week

The new roof over the Grand Foyer is visible from Lincoln Street.

But here's the really great view. Now you can step into the foyer and you don't feel like you're still outside.  Rather you're in this large, high-ceiling room, with lots of windows.  It's impressive now, but we can't imagine how it will look when it's finished.

The LULA is coming along.  (A LULA is otherwise known as the elevator.)

(Your webmaster looked up LULA on the internet and discovered that LULA stands for Limited Use/Limited Application.  We guess that refers to the amount of use it's expected to get.  Before that he was sure at least one of the L's stood for Lutheran, such as Lift Used by Lutherans Always.)

This is the view from the first floor.  It. still has a ways to go.

Just to the right of the door to the LULA is one of our new, high-tech drinking fountains.

They are taking away Janet's dumpster.  Well, it's not really Janet's, but she says she's really enjoyed looking at it out of her office window.  Within a few seconds, they pulled it up onto the truck and it was gone.

They delivered and installed the "porcelain" this week in the Unisex bathroom around the corner and up the hall from the nursery..

No, our camera was not out of focus.  We just figured a little blurring was necessary in order to be discrete.

This one (and most of the others) will be handicap accessible.

(You're probably wondering why we didn't show the fixtures in the men's room or the ladies' room.  Well, we thought that showing a line of fixtures in the men's room might embarrass some men.  Likewise, if we show a row of fixtures in the ladies' room, some ladies might find it offensive.  So by showing the Unisex bathroom, we will be only offending our Unisex members.)
