A Christmas Card

As we walked through the building looking for signs of progress on our construction process, we found it, but we were even more struck by the Christmas decorations that grace our chancel. We know that Pastor Hedin has been making a point all along that the worship and fellowship activities of our congregation continue unabated despite the construction, but, boy, the decorations sure brought that home. Thus, as a greeting card from your website to you, the first six pictures present some of the decorations that will make our Christmas Eve and Christmas Day celebrations of the Birth of the Christ Child even more meaningful.

All of which is not to say there hasn't been significant progress on the construction front. We saw painters at work and understood that the carpet layers were due the next day. Can it be that we will be able to actually use the Grand Foyer on Christmas Eve? We think so.

Merry Christmas from Ron and Sandi

The pictures above speak for themselves, but we can't resist commenting on the construction pictures. The worker in the blue shirt is obviously putting a coat of yellow paint on the Grand Foyer walls. But what about the guy in the striped shirt on the ladder? Of couse, it didn't help that we cut off the top part of his body, but he's putting in one of the loud speakers in the ceiling.

Here we see Mara and Ted pondering the progress. Good job, guys. Mara and Ted and light

Finally, this is (more or less) what you'll see as you enter from the parking lot. The new doors are in place and, hopefully, some of the constructions supplies in front of it will be gone.
