Pastor Judy

The Rev. Judith VanOsdol is an ELCA pastor and missionary serving the United Evangelical Lutheran Church of Argentina and Uruguay and also as Continental Coordinator of Women's Ministries and Gender Justice Desk of the Latin Amercian Council of Churches (CLAI). Her work includes teaching, leading international workshops. publishing, organizing and advocacy from a gender and international human rights perspective with a special emphasis on Overcoming Violence in all forms, Biblical and Theologal Training of Women, including those from indigenous and afro-descendant communities. She has been and ELCA missionary in Latin America for 12 years, is married to Dr. Gullermo Hansen, also a Lutheran pastor and professor of Systematic Theology at the Ecumenical Seminary in Buenos Aires, and they have two children: Daniel, 16, and Lía, 12 years old. The United Evangelical Lutheran Church of Argentina and Uruguay is an LWF member, and the Latin American Council of Churches serves 170 Christian churches in 20 countries of Latin America and the Spanish-speaking Caribbean.
