"We, the Lutheran Youth Organization of St. Paul’s
Evangelical Lutheran Church of Pittsford, NY, are a welcoming
community of Christian youth on a path which engenders:
growing in faith, encouraging leadership, helping those in
need, and striving to make a positive difference in our world."
The Annual Car Wash was a huge success! Donations exceeded $500.00 this year, almost doubling the amount we raised in 2007.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, for your support and your dirty cars! We washed approximately 40 of them, averaging about
10 cars an hour: A significant portion of this money will be donated by the LYO to our building fund.
On May 3rd, the 3rd thru 6th grades visited the RIT campus for IMAGINE RIT. LCLC needed to postpone the annual Excellent Elementary Adventure,
so we instead explored interesting inventions such as the robotic hot dog dispenser, an eye tracking device, and other
innovative designs on display throughout the campus such as making our own edible books and learning about the world
around us from some very unique and varied perspectives! A very exciting day was experienced by all!
On May 11th, we celebrated Mother's Day with our popular homemade waffle breakfast. The LYO wishes our mother's a very
special Mother's Day,
every day, and a heartfelt thank you to all of our hungry supporters.
The LYO LOCK-IN is Friday, June 13th. Yes, that's right. Friday the 13th. It promises to be a wild night, and it's not
even here yet...However, we will be plotting and planning the Father's Day Extravaganza which is that very same weekend, on
Sunday, June 15th. Dads, don't worry. The Mom's get waffles and plants, but you get root beer floats and raw cuts of meat.
Start training for the obstacle course!
We will end our wonderful year with a Pool Party Celebration on July 14th. Thank you to the Holodnik's for graciously
donating their pool for our fun!

events, as well as a list of our upcoming events. We welcome all 6the thru 12th graders to attend our meetings on Sundays
from 9:30-10:00, following the Sunday School calendar. Bring your friends!
