Live Worship Plans and Protocols

St. Paul’s has begun holding in-person worship services in addition to our livestream.

This is not a full return to “normal.” We will ease into it, keeping many safety protocols in place until we are more certain that a critical mass of our folks (including children) are vaccinated and able to worship safely and fully.

Please note: We are still requiring masks during worship services. Because our services are a “public facing” part of our ministry, we are striving to be open and welcoming to whomever may come. With mask-wearing, we are allowing those in attendance to sing and participate fully in the service. Please plan to arrive at least 5-10 min early to allow for check in, and so that we can give any instructions before the mics go live.

There will be two options for worshiping with us in-person:

9:30 – Attend the live-stream:

You may attend the recording of the livestream. Attendance will require:

  • Masks for all except Pastor and Music Director, and lector while on camera.
  • A check-in at the entrance to screen for symptoms
  • Physical distancing once in the sanctuary (pews are marked, but you are responsible for yourself when not seated).

11:00 – Communion service, no sung music:

We will hold a shorter, in-person service at 11am, without singing.  This service will include communion. Attendance will require:

  • Masks for all except pastor
  • A check-in at the entrance to screen for symptoms
  • Physical distancing once in the sanctuary (pews are marked, but you are responsible for yourself when not seated).
There will not be any singing at this service, and it will last about 45 min.

Stay tuned and check back here, as everything is subject to change as we continue to watch this dynamic virus evolve. We are also planning some outdoor worship opportunities for the summer, including one kid-friendly service a month (on the 4th Sunday) for our youngest members who cannot yet be vaccinated.
