We celebrate our children every step of the way. From their baptism to their first Bible, to the first communion, to confirmation, we walk with them as they grow into young adults, providing a space for them to explore, ask questions, and most of all to know that they are loved and free to be exactly who God made them to be. As they move into the teenage years, we engage them with opportunities to serve, and give them space to explore their faith with a more critical mind. And once they’ve graduated and headed off to college, we equip them with a cozy blanket so they will feel our love and prayers wrapped around them and send them care packages around finals time.
We’re going to COMPASSION CAMP this year, with the theme, “What Every Living Thing Needs.” Over the course of four days, we will explore what all living things need to live—shelter, food, water, air, and community—and how we can have compassion for the living earth, especially in our local ecosystems. All this in the context of Psalm 104.
We are once again partnering with Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fairport, and this year VBS will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
